We have teamed up over the last decade, combining all of our backgrounds to make the best team possible! Together, we have completed the CSA Course, Accessibility Awareness Programs and Parks Practitioner Course. As a team we bring an incomparable dedication to quality, customer service, creativity and enthusiasm to every project we undertake. We’re all parents, and that kind of first-hand experience is priceless when it comes to serving the needs of children.
MELISSA SHERIDAN
President,Park Designer and Project Manager
Melissa has over twenty years of experience in the playground industry, with expertise in marketing, accounting, business administration, and fundraising. She has successfully designed play spaces across Northern Ontario and Manitoba, including playgrounds and spray parks.

With a deep understanding of budget constraints, Melissa works closely with committees to find cost-effective solutions, maximize park space, and deliver the best value. She also brings extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies to help raise needed funds for projects.

As a consultant, she has overseen large capital projects, with notable designs including Kivi Park and DJ Hancock Memorial Park. Melissa is also committed to creating inclusive, culturally rich, multigenerational recreational spaces.
STACEY HORNER
Sales Representative
Stacey joined CRCS Recreation in 2024, bringing with her more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. Since joining the team, she has actively expanded her knowledge of the playground industry by completing the Canadian Certified Playground Inspector course and earning her AODA Certification.
Stacey is committed to furthering her education, particularly in accessible design, and is enthusiastic about applying this expertise to create playgrounds that are inclusive and welcoming for all. Passionate about providing seamless, positive experiences for clients, Stacey is dedicated to helping foster joy, creativity, and development for children of all ages and abilities.
PAM BERTHELOT
New Business Development
Pam recently joined the CRCS team with over 25 years of customer service experience and 16+ years in business management. With a background in business management and development, she excels in communication, problem-solving, and task-driven solutions.
Pam is resourceful and committed to team building, and she has a proven track record in maintaining client and stakeholder relationships.
Pam will work closely with Sherry to enhance customer service in the Territories and Alaska, expand the company’s product offerings, and drive new business development in these regions.
GARY BERTHELOT
Lead Installer
Gary Berthelot brings over 23 years of experience in construction, including expertise in lock stone and pool installation, to the Project Support Team. As the onsite contact, he specializes in play space layout, site placement, construction, and playground best practices.
Gary’s passion and attention to detail ensure that every project he works on meets the highest standards. Known for his enthusiasm and diligence, Gary consistently delivers results that exceed expectations. His deep industry knowledge allows him to quickly and effectively solve any challenges that arise during a project.
TIM BERTHELOT
Project Manager
With over 25 years of experience in construction, Tim brings a wealth of knowledge to the Project Support Team. Specializing in site preparation, construction, and surfacing, Tim’s passion and attention to detail ensure consistent, high-quality results on every project. Described by his co-workers as meticulous,
Tim has extensive experience in the concrete industry across Ontario, giving him a strong understanding of the precision required for a perfectly poured and finished product. With expertise in lock stone and pools, Tim is skilled at problem-solving any challenges that arise to deliver the best possible outcome.
